Google Chrome is the latest interesting thing from the people who changed the world by making it extremely easy to find any kind of information that you could ever possibly want to find. When you consider that Google is the group of people who have taken the Internet and turned it into a big glass fish bowl (where everything is visible, and you can just reach in and grab whatever you want), Chrome has got its issues. Among these issues are both a reasonable set of privacy concerns, and the fact that Chrome has yet to have many add ons (such as an ad blocker) that other browsers already have.
Google is the kind of company which takes quantification to a whole new extreme. If you want something known, use the Google folks to delve deeply into the matter. However, if you happen to want one of those little things like privacy, you have got to go elsewhere. Google is not known to allow people to use what it puts out, without paying the penalty of having Google know everywhere you go and everything you do. If you have nothing to hide, this will not result in any criminal charges being filed against you. But they will know of any fetishes you might have, once you have indulged them even once.
Another thing about Chrome that is sticking in people’s craw is that fact that you can not find many add ons to the browser itself. While you might be wondering about them, considering that this is an open source program, you are most likely not going to find them anywhere. The bad news is that a lot of these components simply have not been built yet, which Google is counting on the open source community to do. The good news is that sooner or later, somebody is going to cowboy up and do it.
